Letter from the Principal

Dear St. Mary’s Alumnus,

 

This is a very exciting year for our school and parish family.  We are celebrating 150 years of service to the community, and as principal of the school, I took great pride in welcoming many of you on June 12,2004 during our alumni gathering.  I enjoyed meeting the past principals and teaching staff as well as hearing all the wonderful stories of our great past.  St. Mary’s has provided, and continues to provide, a quality catholic education. You are all living proof that a good solid foundation in the grammar school years is essential to the development of character and the shaping of our future generation of community minded citizens.

 

Times are difficult for catholic schools.  Unfortunately, enrollments have dropped due to the poor economic health of many communities.  We strive to keep tuition payments low. Because of this dedication to our community, the tuition does not cover the cost of maintaining the school.  This plus the drop in enrollment has put St. Mary’s in a bit of a predicament. We are reaching out to you, our alumni, to help sustain our parish school.  Would you consider making a tax-deductible investment to ensure we continue the tradition that so many of you treasure?  In appreciation of your gift, we are happy to send you a custom-made remembrance to thank you for your generosity.
