OUR MISSION: To supply a place where our community can gather together and socialize; especially the elderly residents of our community who cannot get around to places that are far away anymore.

To provide a venue for people to perform (musicians, singers, actors, etc...) and learn. In the case of children and teens, we are trying to provide a safe environment for them to develop their talents in many forms, including an after-school program Tuesday through Thursday when school is in session.  All of our programs are free for the entire community. Our members, young and old, are of many different ethnicities and religions and we have been for over 58 years

GENERAL INFORMATION & STUFF...

This could be fun for you if you're practicing your guitar...  or even if you just want to sing... play the drums - whatever - just PLEASE READ!!!

I have pictures below if you don't know what that is.  Just a little themed jam session for lack of a better word.  No weekly practices, but you must get your own stuff together and come at least once before that night to perform it.  I have amps and some drums & stuff at the school so you don't need to bring much - just your happy self to hang for the night.  It's more mellow (KT Tunstall, Nickelback, Averil Lavigne, Matchbox 20, Corinne Bailey Rae, John Mayer, Faith Hill for example...) - whatever you like.  Just come!

You don' t have to come to the meeting, BUT we would like to see you and you're more than welcome to pop-in!  If you want to do a song or two just write to us at info@stmarysdramaguild.org

Since most people seem to be available on Monday February 26th at 6:30pm we will have a meeting to plan the event in the music room.  Come to the main entrance of the old school 70-20 47th Avenue Woodside, NY  11377 and ring the white plastic bell on the door.  I will be there already as children's guitar class lets out at 6:00-ish and I'll leave the main entrance lights on so you know I'm there.

I put a few ideas that I like below - think of stuff we can do for the meeting.  If you have other friends that are interested please spread the word this could be lots of fun.

Thanks a million,

Anna (Ann or Miss Smith - whichever you're used to!)
