*1853 Bishop Loughlin*	The first Bishop outside of the New York Arch Diocese was Bishop Loughlin. He ran the newly formed Brooklyn Diocese and started St Mary's Parish (Then Holy Angels)
*Rev. Joseph Brunneman* *Pastor 1854 - 1857*	Rev. Joseph Brunemann was the first pastor of St. Mary’s (then Holy Angels) in Winfield (Woodside) from 1854 to 1857. Born in Holland on April 30, 1822, he came to the U.S. as a missionary to German-speaking Catholics. (pictured left)
